Who We Are Header Image

All our solicitors have many years’ experience in dealing with executries and the winding up of deceased’s estates.  We understand this a very stressful time for the family and make a point of ensuring that the estate is wound up as efficiently and sympathetically as possible, while recognising that in many cases this can take longer than we would like.  We can provide advice and support for both intestate estates – where there is no Will – and testate estates, where the deceased left a Will which guides the executors and ourselves on their behalf in the administration and disbursement of the estate.  Whilst the majority of executries are reasonably straightforward, we have built up over the years, experience dealing with more unusual situations eg. where a business is involved or where assets are held outwith Scotland.  We can liaise as necessary with accountants or other professional advisors, and also with legal advisors in other countries where there are specialised requirements to be met.
